Over the course of her distinguished career, Ms. Sundaram has served in a wide range of roles including Teacher, Head of Department, Supervisor, Principal, Director, and Executive Leader, gaining deep insight into every layer of school education. She has worked extensively with three major educational boards CBSE, Cambridge Assessment International Education, and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) bringing a rare, integrative perspective to curriculum design, instructional leadership, and school systems.
Her core areas of expertise include curriculum and instruction, academic leadership, and teacher education. As a Master Trainer in modern pedagogy, she has designed and led large-scale teacher training programmes, mentoring educators in learner-centred, reflective, and concept-driven practices. She has also played a key role in the establishment of five start-up schools, contributing to academic visioning, curriculum frameworks, faculty development, and institutional structures. In addition, she has authored textbooks for CBSE schools, reflecting her sustained engagement with curriculum development and classroom pedagogy.
A defining dimension of Ms. Sundaram’s work is her deep engagement with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Drawing from India’s philosophical, contemplative, and pedagogical traditions, she has conceptualised and developed an education framework titled Contemplative Learning Prakriya (CLP). This framework integrates inner development, ethical grounding, experiential learning, and academic rigor. She has also designed a comprehensive teacher training programme based on CLP, aimed at nurturing reflective, grounded, and competent educators.
Ms. Sundaram associated herself with Agastya Gurukulam, an online Samskritam-medium school, under whose banner she currently runs an online diploma programme affiliated with the Central Sanskrit University. She is also actively involved in setting up a new school based on the Contemplative Learning Prakriya (CLP), translating the framework into a living institutional model.
